One unique project involved a feasibility study to relocate a 2-acre greenhouse, and re-construct it to a configuration. Buildworks dismantled the existing facilities at Burnaby Lake Greenhouses in Surrey, BC, and undertook the new construction; including foundation work, greenhouse erection, heating and boiler installation, and electrical services, at a new location in Chilliwack, BC for LJK Freesia. The finished project provides excellent growing space on a very economical cost basis. | |
| An example of renewal of existing structures is the installation of new polycarbonate roofing to replace deteriorated fiberglass on an existing 15 year old wood framed greenhouse for Cloverdale Nurseries. Custom ridge ventilation was added at the same time. The new installation has greatly improved the lighting and ventilation levels in the greenhouse, and extended the life of the facility by 15 years or more. |  |
